CRYPTOGRAHP FUNDAMENTAL-SYMMETRIC & ASYMMETRIC

SYMMETRIC Algorithm-

Efficient, fast, simple to accelerate in hardware.

It share same secret key on both side Suitable for real-time bulk encryption & decryption.

By using AES-128, AES-192, AES-256, Blowfish, AES, RC4, DES, RC5, and RC6.

Asymmetric Algorithm-

Very slow as compare to symmetric.

In this Public key exchange over internet but private key cannot exchange, So in this Public key and Private key become combine as Random bit by using Deffie-Helman key.

Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) & Intrusion Detection System (IDS)

IPS-

Its use prevention to detect threat & vulnerability exploits.

It detect on bases of Signature based & Statistical anomaly based.

Type of IPS

Network-based Intrusion Prevention Systems (NIPS)-

It covers all traffic on network & detection is signature-based.

Network Behavior Analysis (NBA)-

NBA is work same as NIPS but it provides wide area coverage in network and detection is anomaly-based.

Wireless-based Prevention Systems (WIPS)-

It Protecting Wireless network with the help of two component-overlay monitoring and integrated monitoring , this combine together is called as“hybrid monitoring.”

Host-based Intrusion Prevention Systems (HIPS)-

It protect only single host by providing granular coverage in network.

It monitors only single host & system should live on.

 

IDS-

It detect the traffic which are target to devices & same share alert to administrator.

Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS)-

It monitor all packets in the network which are coming from outside to find threat.

Host Intrusion Detection System (HIDS)-

It monitors only single host & system should live on
